Naming of Mein Schiff 7
For the naming ceremony of Mein Schiff 7 in Kiel, SMIA staged 400 drones above the shipyard. The setting demanded precise flight planning, as cranes, halls and the ship itself limited the airspace. The show followed the dramaturgy of the naming ceremony exactly.
Wacken Open Air 2024
As part of the festival production, SMIA staged the Space Cowboys show in the Wacken sky, alongside the iconic Grawling Creatures as a separate special show. The timecode tied every formation precisely to the stage sound and lighting design, so that sky and stage worked as a single staging.
1,600 Drones over Vukovar
1,600 drones stood over the humanitarian concert in Vukovar, 600 of them hybrids carrying adapted fireworks. SMIA was on site with its own fleet, and Peter Smiatek prepared the show and flew it himself. Thirteen show elements in front of around 100,000 people, deliberately built as a display, not a show.
Conference of State Parliament Presidents NRW
For the Conference of State Parliament Presidents, at the invitation of State Parliament President André Kuper, 200 drones staged European motifs and the symbolic handover of the baton over Rietberg. The show accompanied a political event in which precision and timing left no room to spare.
